My mechanic told me I need my front wheel bearing replaced and said he would have to disassemble the front end to get to it.I have a couple of friends that say that just aint so.Anyone know about this?My bike is a 1987 FXLR with a Wideglide front end on it.I bought it at a dealership so Im not sure what year the Wideglide front end is.

I can not believe they told you this. Are you sure it was the WHEEL bearing and not the steering stem bearing?
