180 tire substitutions?

Default 180 tire substitutions?
I'm changing the rear tire on my 09 Ultra, what a pain in the a$$. And you can only get the dunlop d407 replacement from a harley dealer.

Anyone put on another tire on an 09 Ultra or other touring bike with the 180 tire? Have any issues? any difference with bias or radial?

You can use any name brand tire of the correct size. Radial and bias ply tires handle way differently. Need to stick to what the stocker was.

The problem is that there are not any other brands available in the same size as the stock tire. 180/65r16 aren't available until august and others like 180/70r16 don't have the same load rating of 1019@42
