Sportster All Wheel Corrosion
Hi..I have a 2004 Sportster with bog standard cast alloy wheels, I have a white powdery corrosion on the alloys that wont go away. Im asuming its a combination of road salt and or the fact that I live near the sea. Any ideas please how to treat it ??

If aluminum polish does not work,the wheels will have to be sanded and polished to remove the corrosion.
You could also try using Scotchbrite(very fine,red pad) instead of sand paper.This will leave a satin finish.You will still have to polish with a compound.
Once your done,you will have to maintain the wheels.
