Default Couple quick tire change questions

The first just to confirm, the rear axle nuts require a 36mm socket, yes? If I can't find 36mm is there too much play in a 1 7/16" socket? The other is where is the manufacturing date code printed on the tire? I've read that some folks have gotten old ones from DK. I ordered mine from Motosport.com on the recommendation of a friend who has gotten 3 sets from them with no problems but I want check just to be sure. Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to share.

Think I figured out the manufacture date part. After the DOT code there is an oval with a 4 digit number imprinted inside it. I believe that is the week and year. Is that right? If so then I think their inventory roll over is pretty good. The rear was made in Dec. of 2010 and the front in April of 2011. The rear isn't too old is it?

36MM is correct. A 1 7/16 would be a little loose, but may work.

Here is a pic on tire dates. The red highlighted is week/year:

Thanks Sefferdog. I think I'm good then the last four on the tires are 4610 on the rear and 1711 on the front.

I use a 38mm adjustable wrench, bought on ebay. There are several similar compact ones (8/9" long) that just fit the bill and don't break the bank.
