Default Parts List for 18in FLHX front wheel install

Moderators - It would be nice to make this a sticky here in the wheel forum or even the touring forum as there are numerous people asking about the parts list on how to install a 2010 to current FLHX/Street Glide front wheel onto a 2007 and older FLHX/Street Glide.

This is what I purchased.

3655A - Screw, Pan Head Torx (x10)
41547-07A - Axle, Front 25mm
41901-08 - Spacer, Frt/1in ID (x2)
6594 - Washer, 5/8 ID x 1.125
7813A - Hex Nut, Rounded End

Additional items you might need to purchase if your front wheel doesnt come with a sleeve or bearings.

41900-08 - Sleeve, Front
9276 - Ball Bearing, 25mm ID (x2)

Please refer to this website 2010 Harley-Davidson Street Glide FLHX FRONT-WHEEL-ASSEMBLY for additional guidance.

Just a foot note. You will need to remove your front brake calipers to remove your wheel. MAke sure to have a 10mm 12pt deep socket available.

Don't 2007 models come with 1" bearings, instead of 25mm? Can you expand, if you are saying that 1" stock bikes will alternatively take a 25mm axle? Thanks!

From my findings, H-D's 2007 and older indeed have a 1 inch axle. For this reason, you need to either use the hardware from a 2008 and newer for use with a 25mm axle OR swap out bearings and sleeve to accommodate for a 1 inch axle.

When installing my front wheel, the wheel already came with 25mm axle sleeve and bearings pressed in. So, I chose the parts list above to complete my install.

Thanks for that. Interesting that the fork ends accept both.

You will need the bearings for sure as 07 comes with 1". Even if the wheel comes with bearings, off a newer bagger it will have 25mm bearings. dvious141, I assume you did the bearings on your swap? I get this question about 20 times a day and a parts list is very helpful to me. Thanks so much.

I glad to have helped out Robert.

I stated 2007 and older have the 1 inch axle/sleeve/bearings vs 2008 and newer 25mm axle/sleeve/bearings.

The front wheel/tire I purchased from scumbagger already had the sleeve and bearings since the wheel was from his 2010 SG. so, I only purchased the items listed above.

Additional items I listed are if you need the bearings/sleeve.

Thus the reason a new 25mm axle is on the list, the forks will accept 1" or 25mm, as the ends are same size.

Will this parts list work for an 06 as well as an 07? Any help you can give me on this
