I have Carriage Works after market wheels on my bike. They have been on there since the bike was new back in 2005. Recently the front wheel had some of the chrome flaking. The back wheel still looked fine.
I checked and I could not find where they still sold my model wheel which is a Spider.
If I bought a new, different model wheel for the front, I would also have to buy the same model wheel for the rear, so they would match.
I wasn't too excited about spending a couple of grand or more to replace the wheels, so I checked on having the front re-chromed.
I read about Sport Chrome in California on the forum, so I stripped the rotor and hub off and sent it to them. http://www.sportchrome.com/
They did a great job so I thought I would post about it, in case any forum members need something similar done.
