I hope you have success here. FWIW, the parts manager at a local HD dealership did me a favor and did a search of the HD dealership network website where the inventory of every dealer is available and did a search for older versions of the SERT for my '04 EG. The units were 32107-01C, -01D, and -01E.
Took me about 20 calls but purchased one, an -01C, for $325 new in the box (including the cables which are no longer included) with free shipping. This kit had been on the dealer's shelf for 3-4 years, so they were happy to get rid of it; other dealers before them wanted full list or offered 10-15% off, even on these "obsoleted" units. You may already know, but be sure if you find a good deal that it includes the small brown box with part number 32114-01A, and that it is still sealed. I found one "deal" and the parts guy didn't know the brown box was supposed to be there (and it wasn't), and another parts guy wanted to sell one with the seals broken on the box.
You could try to get this inventory info fromyour local dealers, or just call around and ask for the obsoleted version and see if they will "make a deal." If you want my lists (seperate ones for each version) I will be glad to mail itthem toyou.Just PM your mailing address; sorry, can't scan the docs.
P.S. All this is for EFI bikes; I know the SERT is different for the carb bikes, but don't know if the "sealed box" part is the same or different.
Posse, the purpose of my post was to enable you to find Harley dealers with obsoleted SERTs who will then heavily discount the item they have. Like UltraK, you can purchase any 32107 regardless of the suffix and then purchase the disc you need, as Ultra did.
Ultra must have sharp eyes to snag one for$245; I should ask UltraK tobe my purchasing agent, for a fee of cours. LOL
I have been wating Ebay. Problem is after much questioning, 3 different ones, had been hooked to a bike,& we know what that means. I have been checking the #'s at different dealers & so far $371 is cheapest. May have to get it there. Do I really need cables if once it is dynoed I leave it alone. I won't be changing anything else??
If you bring your bike and the SERT to the dealer without the cables, they'll have the cables for the tune. Incidentally, Benji's, a popular 20% off dealer, has several of the obsoleted SERTs according to the inventory info I was given. Jenni is the parts person to talk to. I never spoke to her as she was on vacation last week, but I would definitely call her @ 304 523-1340.
