Default SERT part numbers

Any help out there would be appreciated. I'm looking at putting a race tuner on my 05 Road King, fuel injected. I have noticed the letters on the end of the part numbers being different on some of them being sold on e-bay. If I'm correct I need a 32107-01F, or -01G or 01E, do these letters have anything to do with the parts being different? Thanks, Brad

The latest version is 32107-01 G it includes the latest maps on the CD and from what I've been told the maps are better than last version. Good luck getting one they are on a nationwide backorder right now! If your local dealer does not have one, have them look up who might have one and print a list for you of what dealer does. That's what a local dealer did for me and ended up finding one in colorado.

The SERT kit will come with a data link (that marries itself to the first ECM it is connected to) and a CD containing software.

The different part numbers for EFI (there is a carb version of SERT that won't work on EFI bikes) refer to the software CD, not the data link. The data link is part no. 32114-01A and should be in a sealed box in any SERT kit you buy. Since the data links are the same, you can buy an older version of SERT and use the data link on your bike and purchase the newer version of the CD for $20 from the dealer.

If your bike is older, mine is an '04, for example, you can use the -01C version. The newer versions contain essentially additional maps for the new model bikes--not of real use on the older bikes like mine.

If you have an older bike, see if your dealer will use the HD parts locator to find the older versions for your bike and any newer versions. I did this and found a SERT for my '04 bike in NC that the dealer sold, new in the box, for $320, not the $459 list. Also, the SERT versions before the '07 model year came with the cables for hooking up the SERT to your laptop or PC; '07 SERT kits don't include the cables which you can buy from HD for $30. HTH.

My understanding is, if it's been installed on a bike it is married to that bike and cannot be used on any other bikes.
