SERT marries itself to your ecm not the dealer. You can take the bike to any tuner that has knowledge of the Screaming Eagle Racer Tuner. Do a search and I beleive you will find tons of info.
you just have to have the "dongle", key, plastic interface, or whatever you want to call it that comes with the SERT. It is the item that interfaces between the ECU and your laptop and "marries" itself to the VIN of the bike.
would most h-d repair places with that item? I don't want to get stranded and have to worry that the only place i can get it repaired is the place i bought the SERT?
sorry about questions new to SERT Harleys and computers

you should have the "dongle" that came with the SERT. I pack mine with me, just in case I need it on the road. since it marries itself to the bike, I haven't heard of one that the dealer could use that wouldn't marry itself, that they could use to tune the bike. HD is into $$, and certainly will use any method to increase their bottom line.
