As I just received my new Street Bob ( and loving it!) last week here in Sydney Australia, this is my first post.

I went on a classic Sydney Bike ride to a place called Wisemans Ferry a few days ago - it's about a 100km awesome ride just north of Sydney.

By the time I was half way back my **** was sooo sore I could barely concentrate on enjoying the ride. Sure a 5 minute stop certainly gets the blood flowing again but within another 10 minutes of riding the numbness returned.

So, although I quite like the standard Street Bob seat and it's great for short trips I think I should get myself a new seat.

I understand that it's really a matter of opinion but is there a consensus as to the most comfortable seat out there?

I don't plan on doubling much but in case I need to help someone out unexpectedly I am thinking I should consider a 2 person seat but only if I can increase the rider comfort - I don't want to go to a 2 person seat only to be less comfortable as the rider.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a standard dyna two up seat and a solo seat for my 07 superglide and i find the solo seat much more comfortable over long distances.

I'm kinda partial to those in the Buick LeSabre myself.

G'day......I put the Sundowner Solo seat on my Super Glide Custom, and it is more comfortable, and will keep your solo status look. You can always get a matching Sundowner pillion pad at a later date which can be fitted in a few moments should you have a need for two-up riding, which is what I'll be doing.
You could do the same thing with aftermarket seats such as Mustang.

 

I took the seat off my bike. Thenturn it over took the staples out of the front part of the seat added two to three inches of foam. The replace the staples and used the same seat cover. Seat is so soft and also raise the height by inches. THe cost was $9.00. One hour of time.

 

I Like the Mustang solo and I can ride all day w/ no problems.I was looking at the sundowner too but got the Mustang because it was cheaper that day.BTW, Welcome to the forum and grats on your Bob!!!

 

MUSTANG!! There is NO other choice!!

 

I second the Mustang vote. Of all I have ridden the Mustang is the most comfrotable.
