Default HD Chrome Headlight trim w/visor follow up POS IMO

As I said in an earlier post, the HD headlight trim with visor is a piece of crap. I put it on my 2007 Road King and quickly took it back off. HD cannot even engineer the thing to close the gap left on the bottom once tightened up. Anyway, I ordered a headlight ring with visor from J&P in which Custom Chrome makes. About $50 with shipping. Wow, it is a whole lot better and replaces the stock one instead of covering it! Also, no stupid cheap gap!! Comes in two styles with the visor and matches the turn signal and running light visor trim perfect. Hope this helps you.

Yep HD chrome is pretty much crap. I had pretty much the same problem I think the QC is done in a dark room blindfolded.

The gap is for cooling the headlight.

I've tried everything also, mine has a gap bigger than 1/8. Can't get it any closer than that.

The pictures shown above are the regular trim ring not the VISOR that the gentleman speaks of. I had the same problem on my 04 RK. My 07 EG has the extended NON VISOR type due to the gap. I know several other people with the same problem with that specific part.

I ordered the Custom Chrome part as well, but they tell me its on back order, don't know when I'll get it. Maybe I should check with J&P?
