Default Finally got my Cyclesmith Fat Bars on my Street Glide

Well after a month long search for a set of handlebars I seen in a Hot Bike magazine (thanks to Jerry L on this forum for sending mre to the source for them) I finally had them installed yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased.

These handlebars are sweet. They are 1.25" and have to be internally wired. What a difference it makes for a cleaner look too. It is more time consuming going that route but it IS necessary otherwise the wires would be pinched between the lever clamps and the OD of the 1.25" of the bars.

Check out the pictures attached. They aren't the best quality but they give a good idea of the end result. Again, they turned out better than I anticapated.

How are they different besides being able to hide the wiring from the stock bars? Roughly how long did it take to install? Cost or link to them?

Thanks,
Cheyenne

Nice. Internally wired bars are the only way to fly...

Finally different bars on a Street Glide! I have asked my dealer about fat bars with hidden wires and they said it couldn't be done. What's the model number of the bars? Did you install them yourself or the dealer? If it was the dealer how much did they charge? Also are they wider or lower than stock?

P.S. I have Cyclesmith #107 on my RKC with concealed wiring and really like them.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Greg

Thanks for the props guys! I've been busy around the house and haven't had a chance to get on the PC to do anything so I'm trying to make up for it now. I'll answer the couple questions to the best of my ability...

The bars are "Cyclesmiths" brand and they didn't have a part # but the style is Dresser Specials.

I had a local cycle shop in town by me install them because the stealer couldn't confirm a price on the handlebar swap whereas the local shop (not a HD dealer - more into building custom and one off bikes. Big Bear Dealer too which says alot!) could and I trust them.

I paid $168.00 for the bars delivered to my door and another $285.00 to install them ($160.00 to internally wire them and $125.00 for the bar swap itself). I had them put new Kuryakan grips on and new Black levers too while they were at it. They used my stock brake line and clutch cable did not need replacing which surprised me. However, the clutch cable hugs the h-bar and is not routed through the fairing because of length. I will rectify this in the spring with a hydraulic clutch setup and I'll utilize the fairing hole them just to make it look kosher.

The are allot lower and have MORE pullback than stock (see my URL for pics). I LOVE the look and the position of them is awesome in my opinion. I personnally have no regrets nor would I swap back to the OE bars. The best part is that ALL the wiring is routed inside the 1.25" dia. bars and they really cleans things up. It took roughly 3-1/2 hours to do the whole job. And I was very please to say the least. Check out these pixs >> http://photos.yahoo.com/taleenandsosi@sbcglobal.net

Just ordered my SG and want to do the same swap of the handlebars. Are the Dresser Specials narrower than stock, I see there is more pullback? I am tall and also installing a corbin rumble seat which is supposed to set you back an inch and a half or so, I am thinking I may need a little additional pullback from stock.
