07 Street Bob F/C Question.
Hey guys, My HD kit wants me to remove the primary and remove the shaft. Is there any reason that I cant install them like I have been doing for the last 20 years? You know, leaving the shifter lever and capping the shaft? The kit includes a new tranny lever. I cant seem to remember that included in any other kit before 05. Thanks

you paid for everything in the kit so why not use it all? I would suggest removing the primary housing to remove the original shaft and trans shift lever to install the new longer trans lever. there are tons of threads on the subject and here is a writeup I did. https://www.hdforums.com/m_1636075/tm.htm
