Default Check those tire pressures!

Hi All

I've had my RKC a few daysand noticed a front end whobble over 60mph. I wasn't sure if it was normal for this bike, so I didn't check it out, but it go so uncomfortable driving home last friday, I got off the highway half way home. I went to the forum to search the problem andread severalcauses. I decided to start with the easiest, the tire pressure. I nearly fell over when both tires read20psi. I had a long morning ride the next day, which gave me a chance to feel the bike withthe tires at 35psi. WHAT a difference. Now my RK is stable all the way up at least to 85mph. Solid as a rock. Now I'm checking the pressure everyday.

Not intending to hijack this thread but, what tire pressures are you '07 SG owners using?

Thanks for the reminder.. I've got bad knees, so it's an easy thing to put off...getting down there and making the check/adjustments.. but it's important and well worth it in safety, handling and longevity of the tires.

I need to stay on top mine a lot better,as well~ Before a long ride this Saturday I checked them when topping off the tamk, and found both front and rear were down to 25psi! I kicked myself in the **** for not catching this sooner~ I'll be checkin 'em a lot more often now..

Why run 40 front? when max is rated at 36 on front, 40 on rear is only for fully loaded.

I run Metz and the front ~40psi, and the rear is at ~45psi (42-43 psi is recomended)
I don't trust my tire gauge 100%, in search of a better one.
