I've had my RKC a few daysand noticed a front end whobble over 60mph. I wasn't sure if it was normal for this bike, so I didn't check it out, but it go so uncomfortable driving home last friday, I got off the highway half way home. I went to the forum to search the problem andread severalcauses. I decided to start with the easiest, the tire pressure. I nearly fell over when both tires read20psi. I had a long morning ride the next day, which gave me a chance to feel the bike withthe tires at 35psi. WHAT a difference. Now my RK is stable all the way up at least to 85mph. Solid as a rock. Now I'm checking the pressure everyday.
Thanks for the reminder.. I've got bad knees, so it's an easy thing to put off...getting down there and making the check/adjustments.. but it's important and well worth it in safety, handling and longevity of the tires.
I need to stay on top mine a lot better,as well~ Before a long ride this Saturday I checked them when topping off the tamk, and found both front and rear were down to 25psi! I kicked myself in the **** for not catching this sooner~ I'll be checkin 'em a lot more often now..
