Removing front fender 07 ultra
Hey Guys,
I finally found my wife the little chrome hog to mount on my front fender. How hard is it to remove the fender? My bike is still under the cover in the garage and I haven't had the chance to look at it close yet.

I had the fender on my 02 off. I did a chrome front end, just to remove the fender you might have to remove the front wheel. Its not a problem, the brake have to come off and the wheel then the fender.

There is a plate that goes across both bolts on each side. The edges are bent around the bolt to create tabs. Take a flat blade screwdriver and pry these tabs away from the bolt so that you can get a socket on the bolts. Dropping the front wheel is very easy. I wouldn't bother trying to pull the fender without dropping the wheel, although some have been able to do it. If you follow the fender tip light wire up into the fairing you can reach up and in there and unplug the light.

Dawg is correct but to remove the wheel remove the brake calipers from the forks and the hose is long enough that you can lay them back onto the top of the lowers. Also be careful and do not squeese the front brake as it will move the brake piston and then you will have a topic for another forum. I did mine....had a very nasty "rock" chip and needed to get repaired. Not difficult to do.
