I don't have that big fender, so this is just what I have read here.
It is easiest to remove the front wheel, to make sure not to scratch the paint. if you are determined to do it without pulling the wheel, remove the fender skirt and go very slowly. 2 people are highly recommended. Hope this helps.
i just took the fender off my deluxe...didn't take more than 10 minutes. Just remove the bolts and pull it out. (with handlebars turned to the left) It's a close fit but it works.
Thanks for the advice guys, I successfuly removed the fender today. As you said, took about ten minutes, no problems. Iwent to the added precaution of sticking masking tape to the inside of the forks and on the side of the fender.
may be a problem taking fender off without taking tire off first because of the wire to the front fender light. Only takes about 5 minutes to pull the front wheel.
