Default PCIII installed on 08 Ultra ABS No Plastic cut

Put away your hot knives and your tin snips, your dremel tools, etc. PCIII installed on 08 Ultra wABSin 20 minutes with no plastic cut and nothing jammed anywhere.
Step one remove the seat.
Step two relocate connector next to security module to the fender. Relocate the wand on the gas tank side of the caddy to the fender side.
Step three remove and discard (or enlarge the hole to the left and reinstall) the torx screw from the ecm caddy.
Step four disconnect the factory wiring harness from the ecm.
Step five connect the PC to the harness and the ecm.
Step six lay the extra connector to the left of the ecm connector on the heat sink.
Step seven slide the ecm caddy as far to the right as far as it will go @1/4".
Step seven tuck the PC wiring harness inside the plastic tunnel coming from the gas tank.
When you do this the extra connector will lay flat on the ecm right up against the other connector and the PC will flop right next to the security module.
Step eight carefully slide the seat back on.
Step nine install the O2 eliminators and enjoy.

I deleted the first pic but the attachment works.

I took that junk off my bike today and I'm having the Race Tuner and dyno done on friday. Complete waste of money and all I got out of it was loud back firing at hard trottle and very poor fuel milage.

A tuner is only as good as its programmer. With thousands if not tens of thousands of satisfied customers out there, it seems obvious there is no inherent problem with the PCIII and just as obvious yours was loaded with the wrong MAP for your setup.

Though I don't have one on my new bike, I had a PCIII on my '07 Fat Boy and it ran like a top, but only after a bit of trial and error in experimenting with different MAPs.

I should have went with the Race Tuner to begin with. I was holding out for the ThunderMax for 08 but that could be next year.

Jumping in here as well. In a couple of earlier posts, there are details of issues I had with 2 PCII units that would not work on my bike. Both had MAPS supplied by FM and during the period we were dealing with the issues, I even tried the PC with a Zero MAP and still had issues. I think that as time go's on, we may see more issues with the PC II on the 08's as CigarCritic and I have experienced unless there is some sort of update fro Dynojet. I've seen other posts by folks with 08's that seem to be having sucess so far and happy for them, not sure why only a couple are not working. Just an FYI on mine so far. I have since installed a Fuelpak with the same exhaustt and A/C configuration and have not had a hiccup yet.

I have had the PCIII on my 08 Ultra w/ABS for 3 weeks now.Came pre loaded with a map for my mods and this bike runs GREAT.
I am very pleased with the results. Two thumbs up to Jamie at FM.

I have 2 performance builders that swear by PC's and will not use SERT's. The backfiring is easy to fix by adding a little gas to the lower throttle settings. I can show you a map modified by Dynojet (no, not Jamie's). It also depends on your pipes; what makes a nice rumble on a glass pack Rush makes a loud pop on a Rinehart. My bike rumbles like my 84 Softtail rolling down a hill and I love it. I'm glad we have 6 gallon tanks.
