Default What are some options for big sucker cover

Looking at getting the Arlen Ness big sucker and wonder about a cover, who got pics, website or ideas. Thanks to all those that have helped me with my bike and questions. Under a year owning my Harley and pervious bikes we never worth adding anything to! I think that I might have to add a "sponsered by hdforums.com" sticker to the bike

You Could cut out the center section of your football cover. It would look bad A$$ on your bike with the black trim ring. It is easy to do. WS6 Formula did it.
I have a Flames cover you can have for the cost of shipping if you want. It is a HD Part. Made of plastic. Can use it until you decide what else to get or other member post some of the Cool mods they have done.
Lot of choices.
BTW, K&N Replacement filter is HD-0800 From Autozone, Pepboys, Advanced auto parts store.
Big sucker comes withAiraid filter similar to K&N.

Any problems with riding in the rain and open fillter. I rode my harley home 350 or so miles in two days (lots of stops to show family and friends) and never saw the Sun. driest weather I saw was still a thick fog that slowly got you wet. Unless I feel that there is a major saftey issuse I REFUSE to pull over and let some cager drive by and have a comment!!

There are a few options, I have a foam ring that I cary in a baggie for downpour's or I also have a cover from Harley for extended runs in rain. Here is the link http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_UScan fit in saddlebags or pac on back. Got my foam from a snowmobile dealer. So far haven't had to use either.

That's what I did. I love the look! I also added my stock headlight trim ring around it.

K&N has a waterproof prefilter that wraps around the exposed element for wet conditions.

Steve - lots and lots of options out there, just depends on the look you want and if you want something that'll be an easy install or you want to work/fabricate for the look. Any Harley a/c cover insert should work fine if you want an open filter, or any cover with a center screw. I chose to go with a simple full round cover from Harley for about $32 on sale - it's a little smaller diameter than a few other round full covers out there like the Ness ones:

Search the J&P catalog, ebay, and the moco website for lots of ideas.

Kind of a $hitty pic, but I bought the air cleaner from Jireh cycles for $20, and then just used the cover and tossed the rest. It looks like it's too tight on theair filter to work, but it works GREAT!

I don't mind, then I don't have to upload it...

I was concerned about running it open and rain and all as well. A lot of people told me they've run their's open in the rain with no ill effects or after-effects so I went for it. But, I try my best not to ride in the rain anyway. If I'm ever going off where extended rainmight be an issue, 1 bolt out and back in and I can change to my football. I really don't think riding it through some rain will hurt it. I don't know that I'd let it sit out parked in the rain for an extended period of time. But, then I probably wouldn't do that even without an open filter.
