Default need sissy bar help!

the lady is starting to complain on the long trips. looks like i need to get the sissy bar now instead of later. i have a dyna bob, and dont want to spend a ton. the dealer could be expensive. any suggestions would help. the only real stipulation is i need it to be tall enough to support a tail bag.

Glad I found someone talking about the sissy bar! My husband has the Street Bob also! Has anyone tried putting those side plates on that???????????? Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bolt that holds the signal light on goes through the inside of the fender and when you "try" to take it out, it hits the tire. We finally figured a way to get it out, (not without of grunting and groaning and swearing). We had to let some air out of the tire. Got the damn sideplate put on and they gave us the wrong one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had to take it back off! The new ones should be arriving in a couple days and any suggestions on how to put those side plates on an easier way would be much appreciated!

i put mine on last summer, If i remember correctly you can jack the rear of the bike up so the rear tire hangs the bolt will clear. You don't have to lift the bike in so the tire is off the ground just enought to clear the bolt

Thank you very much for that advise! Did you fasten the front of the bike down so it wouldn't tip over? We do have a trailer with the wheel chucks in it. Would you recommend fastening the front down so it doesn't tip over?

I didn't and i did't remove the shock either. you should probably fasten the front down, i took a stupid chance but it didn't fall and it all worked out ok. the bolt did touch the top of the tire but it came out and went in with no probems.
