I'm thinking about adding midmount pegs to my wideglide to have another position for my feet and to take the pressure off my lower back on long trips. I have the pegs, I just need the hardware. If you added forwards and don't plan to use your mids, I'm interested in your hardware. My bike is a 2001. I think all the midmount hardware is interchangeble in the Dyna family. I'm willing to pay for it. I'm just not sure I'm willing to pay the $150 HD wants for 2 brackets and 2 bolts and a lockwasher. And yes, I do realize that is cheap compared to most of the parts HD sells . Let me know if you can help me out. Thanks.
I put some mid mounts on my Wide Glide. I got the mounts from Ray Price Harley in Raleigh, NC. I don't have the number at the moment, but you can look it up in the HOG book or on the Harley website. When they answer ask for used parts. They have a used part store and the prices are reasonable. I think that I paid $50 for both mounts. They are chrome and look great!
Go to jpcycles.com. Don't waste your money at the stealership.... that's just imported, overpriced crap. J&P has tons of accessories. Better quality and lower prices. There are also a lot of other places online where you can find what you need. Limiting yourself to buyinhg parts from the stealer is gonna cost you a fortune! Support the aftermarket companies. They are what's really keeping H-D in business.
