Latest word on $hitty Harmon-Kardon radios
The harley rep that I have been in close contact with for a few months now has told me that the latest fix for the HK radios is to wait on the '07 units. The bugs are supposed to be fixed on these. He said that a repaired '06 model would never be right. I can only hope that my new '06 will not have issues right out of the box....

I hope you are lucky enough to get a good one considering all the BS you've already dealt with.That being said these radios just suck.I've heard a few say they have a good one but I swear I would have to see it to believe it.

I suppose I should knock on wood, but I've had no issues in my first 6000 miles with my EG at all. Radio has been great. Probably shouldn't have posted this, it will probably puke tomorrow !!

Mine is still in shop, called today was told another week. About 16 days total i hope.Radio locked up.I miss her.

I plan on replacing my '03 Ultra with an '07 Ultra. I considered an '06 but there were still a few bugs that needed to be worked out, the H K radio was among them. I hope by the time I take delivery of the new Ultra everything will be worked out. On the other hand, one really never knows, obviously there were major changes in '07 to the drivetrain and anything could happen. I suppose the moral is, don't put off tomorrow what you can have today, because there are no guarantees either way you go.
