Long haul test Springer Classic
Well did the first long run with the Springer today it did great, I did not so great. Holy crap its been a long time since Ive done a high mile one day ride some one should have told me that you should work up to these things slowly. But I did find out that the springer is going to run 40-43 mpg long run or short it. And am I ever glad I got that gel seat.

What seat do you have? Or is the gel pad a strap on type?
And what bags are those? Like the looks of 'em. Heck, you're bike is the only current HD I'd wanna buy. Sharp, any way you look at it!

I got in to some detours and side roads and on the way back cut over to La Crosse and came down the Mississippi River, and yep see you there at 11:00

Howdy JB glad to hear that you were able to get out and get a long run in to see what your Springer would do. You said that someone should have told you to work into this kind of thing slowly, do you really think that it would have done any good, or are you stubborn like I am? I plan on testing my butt on a long run during the July 4 week. I will see how tough I am. It will get better the more that you ride.

Ya Clammy those long rides on a good road good makes the crap you go through the rest of the week seem almost worth while. And yes Springer you are hit on the head it wouldnt have done any good at all.
