Cylinder problem...
Okay, I've got an 'I feel like an idiot question...', so here it goes...A local HD dealership just replaced my belt and front/rear rubber...no problem (01 FLRH)...test ride and one of the techs called, said my rear cylinder is not firing, and is running rough.... He related the rear cylinder exhaust pipe was cool (stock header pipes, w/ thunderheader slip ons)......and I have noticed this before, but it always seemed to heat up after a while....my question is is this a total non-firing cylinder, a missing cylinder, it hasn't seemed to have a big power loss....the plugs are probably due for a change...possible wire problem, coil?? Any ideas are welcomed. They are going to diagnose it, but haven't called yet, and as you can imagine, I'm worried about her!!!! Any ideas??

It probably isn't anything real bad. Always start with the simple stuff, plugs and wires. It could be an ignition module or coil, as you mentioned. And it could be something as simple as a loose wire to the coil.

Thanks for the response...hopefully it won't be too bad....since I'm about to shell out close to a thou on the new rubber and belt install, a little more shouldn't hurt!! We can't take it with us!! Thanks again.
