Default Looking for production numbers

Hi. I am trying to find out if there is a way to obtain how many bikes were produced for my model: ('06 FLSTCUI Peace Officer in vivid black) and have NO IDEA where to begin. Are HD's production numbers made public? I'm sure they are, just am confused on how to get them. Thanks!

Try googleing it and see what comes up. You can find some really strange, obscure, and odd things if you just ask the right way.

I tried a couple of different ways, but the only thing I could find was this on the HD web site.

http://investor.harley-davidson.com/...ments_2006.cfm

It only shows the total shipments for the different fiscal quarters by groups, Sportsters, Touring, etc.
If you want exact figures for yours I guess the only way would be to try to contact HD by e-mail and see if they will tell you.

Good Luck, I would be curiuos to find out if they will tell you or not. It might be interesting to see exactly how many of each model are actually made/sold.

I "would" be interested in mine, but with a bike model that's only a month old any numbers I could find are going to be meaningless in another month or two.

If anyone's interested, I called HD's 800 number and spoke with a very nice woman who said any HD customer that wishes that information can request - and receive - in letter form, the specific numbers and information regarding the manufacturing or your bike. The 2006 information will be available in late November, and you can call then.
