How often should I expect my fairing mounts to break???
Just had one replaced under warranty last month. Now as of yesterday I have developed another bad virbation in the fairing just like before the last one was replaced. So I am assuming it is the same thing. Is this something that I am going to have to constantly get done?? I know there are fixes that people have done on their own, but I am really not that handy with fabricating my own fixes.

or pullin wheelies ....i think there was a thread on here not long ago with a pic of the fabbed brace, looked simple too...i'd let em fix it, tell em to find the cause, & fab one when you get it back....mine has not broken yet at 9k miles

When they break weld them and add a little thicker metal. I welded mine two years ago. I took the outer fairing off tonight to prep for another mod and checked the brackets. No cracks!!!

Someone should fab some up and sell on eBay. I think it would be a money maker if they are good. Free replacement under warranty is good but a pain in the *** if it happens over and over. I would rather buy a heavy duty set and never have to worry again.

No Harley should beef up the stock ones so they won't break. This should not even be an issue. The last thing I want is my bike going in every coulple of months for this.

Installed my Hogtunes last night and discovered broken brace at the bend where it attaches to the fairing. Very thin metal, I could cut it with tin snips! I didn't want to remove the brace and didn't want to weld in place so I made an L bracket and bolted it in. Checked the other brace, no crack. The fairing is simple to remove, seven bolts, when installing you have to make sure the two bolts below the headlight are started straight. I cross threaded them and had to remove and retap the brass inserts.

I was curious if the brackets that are failing are on bikes with Hogtunes? After seeing the difference in the speakers and the wussy magnet on the stockers I could see those wimpy brackets breaking real easy. As much as these things cost **** like this is unbelievable.
