Default Insurance in Zoo Jersey $$$$$$$

Wow was i in for a shock when i got my insurance up after adding my new road king.
I HAD state farm and for my 3 bikes my new bill was $2666.00
I have a 2012 roadkind,2010 ducati hypermotard evo sp,2002 duece.
Due to having a umbrella policy (1 million ) i need high limits on all bikes.
I called my agent and he told me state farm is NOT the cheapest anymore.
So i call Progressive and they had good rates but when i asked question they had to switch me to another dept that put me on hold after 5 minutes i hung up.
I then called GEICO who gave me a rate of 1587.00 more coverage if i switch my auto also which also saved me over 600.00 for the year.
So its a WIN WIN For Me

All ins co's were about the same.

Did you try Riders Ins? They are based out of NJ. I'm in PA and they gave me the best rates I could find...and they had the best coverages!.

My 09 Road King with $300,000 / $500,000 - collision, $6,000 mod coverage AND PIP PROTECTION FOR THE FULL $500,000 (max allowed in NJ) is about $350 a year with Progressive (Harley Insurance). It didn't start that low (about $650/yr) but has consistantly dropped in cost every year for the past five years. I am 58 years old and have an IMMACULATE driving record! Something doesn't sound right or possibly it is reflective of a driving record?

I agree that automobile and bike insurance are rediculously high here in NJ but I'd keep looking if I was you. I did Progressive completely on-line but have had phone conversations with them and never had a problem getting thru to a real person. Just my experience!

I was with State Farm for 20 yrs before that i had Riders for 25 yrs till
they told me my ZRX11 Kaw was a sport bike and want 1600 to insure it.
At that time State farm id both my bike for 1100 dollars.

I call my State Farm agent and he told me state farm is Not The Cheapest.
He also told me if i switched but keep the same high limits my umbrella policy would go from 101.00 to 221.00

I tryed Progressive and they were a little cheaper than GEICO however when i needed the policy explained they jerked me around sending me to different departments then they just put me on hold.

Didnt get a Warm Fuzzy Feeling, Geico was Great Answered all My Questions.

I switched from Rider last year and went with Hughes Recreational in North Jersey. Got a cheaper rate, and I wasn't all that unhappy with Rider rates.
I've never had a claim with any of them so I can't address that aspect.
