Default Windshields for 14 Touring

What windshield works best with the touring models? I have the stock 10" windshield on a 14 Ultra Limited. Lots of web info but I need rider info. Klock Works, Memphis Shades... and many more to choose from on the web. The best choice is from experience. Suggestions?

I have tried the LRS and they work very well, you will see which works best for your height, I had 12", 11" and 10", the ten is current with the CVO seat, with my 14 limited it was 11" and with a gel pad I liked the 12". The recurve at the top edge makes a incredible difference. Good luck and ride safe.

I had a stock on my SGS. The 9" LongRideShield solved almost all problems.
Good stuff and better customer service.

I personally ordered my shield from John over at FreedomShields.net. His company has by far the best reviews on windshields from any that I have read. The Freedom Shields are made of a modified acrylic and are super sturdy. I would recommend them to anyone. My 9in shield works like a 12in.

I have a 10" LRS and an 8" LRS... both dark tine, both work very well.

If it ever cools off here, I may go back to the 10, but I've had the 8" on for 8 or so months.

Clearview makes a very nice shield. That's what I have on my Street Glide. The most important thing is to get the right height. You want the top of the shield to level with the tip of your nose. If you get a shield with the curve at the top this will force most of the wind over your head but you will still be able to see over the shield.

8" dark tint LRS Ultra on mine & I love it. My gf says it's better on the back seat too.

9" dark tint Freedom Shield. Love it! John is great to deal with also. Just call him and tell him your bike, height, etc and he'll make a recommendation.

I started with the stock shield on the SG and it was useless. I then went to the 7" LRS with recurve in dark tint and it was much better than the stock but my glasses still shaked on the hwy. I figured I needed a taller shield and wanted to try the wind splitter style so I ordered the Klock Werks 8.5" flare shield. I don't know if it was the extra 1.5" or the extreme curved edges and top but the Klock Werks shield is the best I've tried so far. My glasses are almost perfectly still and the buffeting is just about 0. I absolutely love the Klock Werks 8.5" shield but the LRS is a great shield and I bet the 9" would work just about the same as the KW.
