Default Installing TSSM into my 2002 Road King

Morning all!

So I have a US import '02 RoadKing and I've sourced a second hand TSSM - but I am just trying to piece togther the info I'll need to get this up an running.

The steps I think I'll need to complete are:

1. TSSM/ECM re-learn
2. PIN Code Reset (or TSSM reset) - assume this will revert the PIN to 7-7-7-7
3. New fob marry

Does that sound about right?

Cheers!

Been doing some reading and I think I may have answered my own questions....in that I've wasted some money!! :-(

Seems without the PIN or the fob I am screwed :-(

(its a push button TSSM btw)

I'd think a dealer could get you set up with the fob and pin.

From what I've been reading not even the dealer can reset the PIN without the fob... :-(

Why did you buy a TSSM without FOB's ? What you might be able to do is buy a FOB from the dealer (I suggest you get two so you have a spare) then take the bike to the dealer and have them assign those FOB's to the TSSM. You should call them first just to make sure they can do that without having the original FOB.

The dealer will be able to assign a new fob. I believe there are two slots in your ECM for Fobs. When I lost one of my Fobs the dealer just assigned a new fob to the lost ones slot

My bike is carb, so pre ECM - been reading through the factory electrical module and even that states that if you loose the fobs and do not have the code a new TSSM is required.
