2001 road king alarm issue
hi everyone, I have a 2001 road king classic. I never use the alarm. it's not even on and it goes off when I ride, in the garage at any random time it will go off. I just had a new clutch cable installed. Do you think they cause a short or something? I don't want to go and accuse them of anything, I just want to disarm the alarm for good. its a nuisance. thanks for your time.

Well, I suppose you could do the usual like unplug the TSSM unit, then plug it back in, or what most likely you'll end up doing to eliminate the alarm altogether is replacing the current TSSM module with the basic TSM module. Some here say they've done it themselves, while others say the dealer should do it as it's not simply plug and play.
This is my understanding as I recently had my TSSM module go kaput for no apparent reason, leaving me with a no start condition (2002 EGSt). I opted for the TSM replacement once the bike was towed to the local dealer.
