Have any of you purchased and GPS Mounting system from a company called lidomounts .com out of California. About a week ago i purchased online a mount for my garmin nuvi 750. Placed this order on a Sat. the mount cost $24.95 decided to spend $18.15 for UPS 3 day sect shipping. Figured they would ship on monday and i would have it in ohio by Thurs. Nothing arrived. tried to call them all you get is a answering machine stating leave a message they will return your call. Nothing. friday and no mount. Emailed them twice still no response. Has anybody dealt with this company?
Thanx
Mike
Never used them but it sounds like trouble. Hopefully you can get your money back. I ordered a Ram Mount and it is great. Lots of good referrals about them on here. Good Luck!
"Hhhmmmmmmm.1 post and Jim hasn't been back. Not good."
Yeah that's pretty shady. I ordered from Ram Mount on Friday and it was waiting for me yesterday when I got home from work... And the product is awesome!!
This company doesn't respond to phone calls or email.
Went today 8-11-09 and filed a fraud claim with the credit card company.

Yes I phoned, left messages and emailed Sales and Jim.... no response.... I talked to my credit card provider and was told to look for the credit on my next statement and that they would go after the money via lidomounts.

Dear Mr. Rupp,
I am so sorry that you are experiencing difficulties. We too have repeatedly attempted to contact this company. You will not find an ad in QST for them but that is little consolation. I hope whatever action you choose to take produces results.

I ordered mine March 2009 and got lucky, the charge never hit my credit card. It appears they are jumping through merchant accounts and the banks are finally on to them.
I am not far from studio city ;-) Perhaps I will drive up there and see if I can find Mr. Newcomb. I am also sending an email to their ISP to see if they have any real contact information.
