Passenger Footrest Pivot Pin Removal

Passenger Footrest Pivot Pin Removal
I am stumped on this one. Need to remove the footpads from the mounting brackets on my passenger footrests. Looks like it should be easy to remove the pivot pins, but they do not budge. I do not see a retaining clip on the pads, nor in the schematic. Can someone that is wiser shed some light on this?

They can be a little tricky to remove, the rubber floorboard pad is held on with two rubber mushroom shaped nubs that are pulled through the bottom piece.
Remove chrome cover if you have them, pry up the rubber insert carefully
shim it up at each end so you can work without tryin to keep the insert raised.
NOTE: dont pry it up so far that the mushrooms pull through.. then yer ****ed
I used an allen wrench and poked the pivot pins outwards, take care not to lose the little detent ball and spring.

Wibbo has the right part that I am trying to remove. Sorry, they are passenger floorboards. (Drawing calls them footrests) No chrome to remove. I am sure that there is a retaining clip there somewhere, as the pivot pins will not budge, but I'll be D@*#ed if I can see them. I can't even locate them in the drawing.

IIRC, the rubber insert locks the pin in place - no e-clip to remove. Had there been, I'm almost certain I'd remember chasing one of those little SOBs across the garage... Also IIRC, the spring for the detent ball is held in by the pivot pin, so it applies sideways pressure on the pin, which causes some binding. I used a large set of curved needle-nosed pliers to grab the pin and work it out through the hole on the floorboard you can see on the right in the photo above. Be ready to chase the detent spring. BTW, I was replacing the mounting brackets to raise mine a couple inches, and found it was a lot easier to remove the bracket from the bike first, then pull the pin - as shown in the above photo. The service manual said the other way around....
