Passenger footboard installation

Passenger footboard installation
Hello all,
I just purchased a set of chrome halfmoon passenger floorboards for my Road King and the instructions tell me to refer to the Harley sevice manual (which I don't have).
It looks fairly straight forward but since it references the manual I'd like to make sure there's nothing hidden. Does anyone know of the correct removal of old and installation of new method? I don't want to get a service manual just for this one change.
The new floorboards use the same mounting bracket as the old ones. Have to remove the old boards from the brackets and use existing parts to install the new ones.
Yes, I know they are handy--I used to do all my own repairs and changes. Not anymore, I leave that up to the dealer except for small add ons like this. Can't believe they don't include instructions.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Tilt footboard upward.From bottom of
footboard, use a small flat blade screwdriver to push
rubber beads on pad up through holes in footboard.
Remove pad.
2. Using a brass drift and rubber mallet, tap two pivot pins toward center of footboard and remove.
3. Remove footboard from footboard bracket.
4. Remove steel ball and spring from hole in footboard bracket.
Assembly
1. Place spring into hole in footboard
bracket.Place ball on top of spring.
2. Place footboard into position on bracket and install pivot
pins from the outboard side. Using a brass drift and
rubber mallet, tap pins until centered in lugs of bracket

Remove both bolts from bracket, if I recall there should be two pins and springs one on each side of the pan to remove pan from bracket. Do the opposite to install.
If your installing new inserts I would put those in before mounting new pans to the bracket.
If I am wrong, you can always go to the web site pull up the pans and normally there are instructions...

Ha! Finally found time to do the replacement and looked at the footboards for the first time. Yes, it is a pretty simple install. However, it never hurts to check if there's a hint it might be difficult or if there are hidden parts or steps involved. Without knowing they were in there I could see one of those steel ***** popping out never to be seen again. Thanks again for the help, I know it took effort and I appreciate it.
