I have a 2005 Road King Classic. The passenger footboard bracket is shaped like a black T. I removed it from the frame (5/16 allen). Now how do I take the "black T" off the floor board. Oh yeah I do have chrome floorboard covers too.
Reattach the bracket to the bike
There are probably 2 screws that hold the chrome floorboar covers on. You have to remove the cover to get to the pivot pins.
Tilt the footrest up and use a small brass centerpunch and hammer to tap the 2 pivot pins toward the center and remove the footboard from the bracket.
Make sure to remove the steel ball and spring from the bracket so you dont lose them , they are pretty small.
