What am I looking at to pay for fulll coverageinsurance on a new Heritage?
Driving record is clean, very clean.
Male, late 40's.
Checked with my car insurer (American Family I think) was quoted around $500 for one policy
and close to $900 to double or triple, medical coverage, these prices were per year.
Thought that was a decent price, either way, but talking with a cuple guys at work say I can get
for a couple hundred a year at most!
So, whats the group here say?
Thanks!!
The area you live and ride in will also dictate what your premiums will run.You may wanna check with companies that specialize in motorcycle coverage, esp. Harley's. I've heard some claims horror storieswhen it comes to companies not versed in motorcycle coverages
I'm 29 and have full coverage on my 07 Street Glide. With full medical coverage and uninsured motorist. I have as much coverage as I can get. $352 per year.
45 years old and ride a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic.
Full coverage, including liability and underinsurance limits of $250,000., with Progressive Ins. Annual premium of $520.
Do a search, this subject has been beat to death about once a week! It varies on all kinds of things; credit score, location, single/married, kids, income, type of dog you own.....
Two identical twins with the same exact situation with the same bike, living next door to each other could get drastically different rates.
$500, $350 you guys are bumming me out.
I live in Massachusetts, get a discount for multiple cars (2003 4 runner, 2005 Madza mini van, a 2000 RK), My step points have been at 9 for as long as I can remember. Haven't got a speeding since I was 18 (now 40).
I pay $1200 a year for my bike, just my bike, $650 for the YO, and $670 for the minivan, and for my coverage those are all good prices.
Let me in on the secret of low insurance rates.

what you guys might look into is a coverage that gives you medical and unisnsured motorest, i have a 05 wideglide and its loaded up, my agent wrote me a 25,000 dollor coverage just as if it was a antique car, if its stolen i get a check for 25,000, most ins co. go by blue book grap, they would prob, offer me 12,000, i pay 450 a year, and during winter months i can call and lower it by 50%, if it is in garage, still covered for theft, and if house burns down,

The secretto low insurance rates, is low coverage. Period. Your coverage for $1200 a year, may very well be far superior to many of the other 'cheaper' quotes here, all things being equal.
