I have a carb 2000 Road King and want a second set of metal. What years would interchange? Is it true that I can fit fuelie metal with some sort of adaptor? Any year restrictions on this swap? Thanks
I have heard that fuelie metal would intercahnge, but cannot confirm that one. Not sure of the years, but if you look in the HD CAtalog, and see how they list the applications, I would think that should give you the year range that they feel would work.
It seems to me I see 97-99 then 2000-2002 and on..The deal with the tank is on the fulie you check valve and differant setup
for the fuel line. On a carb you have a threaded stem for the peacock / fuel shut off. On the fuelie this is a tube that has the hose clamped on to it. I would think you could go from a Carb to fuelie with an adapter but a fuelie to a carb would need some thread work + Hope this helps....Augie.....
