Very cool bike! Only complaint is the bars are too low or the seat is too high. Otherwise the engine was beautiful, handling was rock solid and was very happy after getting off. Cool bike guys. New respect for them.

The bars are often replaced with black sportster bars so there is less of a crouch.

Some of us just get the real Night Rod. Glad you enjoyed the ride.

Took on of the Night Rods Specials out on a test ride today after changing the rear tire (which really sucks but that's a different story) and I have to say I was impressed by it. Good power, solid ride and the handling was better than 95% of the wider tire bikes I have ridden. I wasn't thrilled with the handlebar position but bars are easy to change.

The stock handlebar/drag bar of the DX is one of my favorite aspects of the bike.  Perhaps it comes from riding sport bikes.  Find it much better to lean forward on a performance bike, versus upright and hanging on in the wind like a flag pole.  But as noted, there are choices and it is an easy change.
