Default Whistling in gas tank

Only thing I know that is in the tank that will cause a "whistle" is the electric fuel pump.

Try this.....Shut bike off, then turn ignition to "on". Listen for fuel pump building up pressure then it will shut off, when engine isn't started. When it shuts off and the whistle goes away, well sounds like the fuel pump.

The filter, also in the tank, doesn't have anything, that I'm aware of, that will make noise.

Hope this helps.
