1970 Electra Glide is Pretty in Pink
It’s powerful, perfectly badass and…pink? Would you ride it?
We’ve all heard the expression “real men wear pink.” But does that philosophy apply to Harley enthusiasts as well? Considering the fact that the preferred clothing color among bikers is typically black, it might seem like a stretch. And it might seem like even more of a stretch to think that any male rider might want to cruise around on a pink Harley-Davidson.
Then again, considering how unique the color is, and with Harleys reportedly becoming increasingly more popular with women lately, we can see this cool ride being an enticing gem to both sexes.
And if you’re a burly male biker deciding to take the plunge into pink, you might as well do it in style. This 1970 Electra Glide might be the nicest pink bike around. We spotted the spotless classic ride in the Hemmings classifieds, where it recently sold for $14,750.
Obviously, painting any motorcycle or other vehicle pink limits its market somewhat. We’d imagine that if this vintage Harley was any other color, it would easily bring more money. But if you can look past the hue, you’ll find one seriously nice ride regardless.
So we want to know: Would you ride this Electra Glide to your next rally? Or do you still consider pink to be a ladies-only shade a man should never wear or ride?
