Stunning 2008 Road King Checks All the Boxes
With classic styling and tasteful mods, this red-hot Harley is the ultimate custom cruiser, and a simply gorgeous machine!
Harley-Davidson motorcycles have a rich racing history, but today it’s all about the look and the ride. Cruising is the goal, and oftentimes over long distances. In addition, you must look darn good while doing it, and these two requirements are crucial. Good news is, this 2008 Road King has them in spades! We spotted the gorgeous cruiser on eBay, where it recently fetched $18,500.
Stock Road Kings are capable and great-looking bikes, but this one received a full-on custom treatment. The first thing you’ll notice is the stunning candy apple red paint. It’s an uncommon color choice for a Harley, but it looks fantastic. Don’t you agree?
That sculpted body sits low thanks to a two-inch front and rear suspension drop. An air ride setup allows to clear speed bumps despite the lowered stance. Huge DNA mammoth spoke wheels (21-inch front and 18-inch rear) with Vee tires sit underneath. Oh, and there’s chrome everywhere! From the hand controls to the frame and motor covers, no expense was spared.
No engine mods are listed in the ad, but there’s an old school 36″ Bassani fishtail exhaust installed. And Daymaker LED lighting ensures you’ll never be left in the dark. In addition, a custom red diamond stitched seat will keep you comfy on the long haul, and three 6.5″ speakers sit in each lid for an extra audio punch.
Lots of other aftermarket bits add a nice and unique touch as well. They include Harley visors, front and rear crash bars, and a Razr tourpack.
The end result is a bike that is virtually new from front to back. With classic styling and tasteful mods, this 2008 Road Kind checks all the boxes. This is a bike that you would want to ride and show off as much as possible. After all, isn’t that the point of owning a Harley these days?
