You might feel like 50 percent of our posts here on HD Forums have been about Discovery Channel’s six-hour min-series Harley and the Davidsons lately, but it’s for good reason.

There’s a huge different between a Hollywood set builder and a true motorcycle builder. That’s never been more clear than on the set of Discovery Channel’s upcoming mini-series Harley and the Davidsons.

You see that fella above? That right there is Sturgis, giant buffalo adornments, flowing white hair, straw hat, and all.

When you throw you leg over a motorcycle, you are no longer just any regular person. You become a part of a sisterhood and brotherhood with hundreds of thousands of others who have a least one part of their brains formatted just like yours.

What if somebody who isn’t American designed the motorcycle that saved Harley-Davidson? How’d that be for an ironic timeline?
