A 1999 Harley-Davidson Lowrider Build

When you’re building a ride on a budget, you have to be careful about the decisions you make. Each and every purchase matters, and has to be chosen carefully to ensure that the ride comes out as intended, and within the given budget.

Nonetheless, these types of builds are very admirable, and we applaud them for taking on. It takes skill and determination to succeed in a build that has definable limits, and not everyone can manage it. Of course, HDForums member Andy, who is also known by his username tcarson84, has managed this endeavor quite well so far.

Andy has taken on building up a 1999 Harley-Davidson Lowrider on a budget, and he’s just getting started. He purchased the ride for a total of $5200, and he has so far picked up a seat and bars for $160. The bars are 8″ T-bars, and were brand new when he bought them for $60. For the other $100, he picked up a discontinued Saddlemen’s gel seat. The only problem is that it was made for a Wide Glide, so some fabrication will be necessary.
