Meet The Litas, a group of ladies who love to ride and look cool doing it.
There is no shortage of motorcycle-related accounts on Instagram. These accounts represent the full range of the spectrum, from amateurs to hardcore gearheads. We’ve gone deep into social media to find accounts that offer something special, something more than just people posing next to bikes. When we came across The Litas, we knew that we stumbled across some true-blue motorcycle women.
The Litas are self-described as a “worldwide, all-female, motorcycle collective,” and these ladies are building a community of “moto-obsessed women around the globe.” And they’re doing very well in achieving that goal, with over 4,000 members in 160 cities and 24 countries — plus 73,000 Instagram followers!
Now, when we first heard the name The Litas, the most famous badass Lita that came to mind was legendary rocker, motorcycle enthusiast, and Sturgis 2016 co-headliner Lita Ford. However, this group’s name takes inspiration from no one but the global group of bikers that it represents.

“Where did the name ‘The Litas’ come from?” the group writes in its online bio “We get that question a lot. The name came from a drunken bar night between two best friends who dreamed of starting a motorcycle group. They thought it sounded like a sweet name. So, no, it doesn’t have any alternative meaning besides badass, moto-obsessed women who call themselves ‘The Litas.'”
Their IG account is rich with gorgeous photos from their many rides, slick gear, and above all else, a variety of badass women on badass motorcycles. These women love to ride, and they know their stuff. The account documents the rider’s life, whether it’s mastering a variety of rugged terrain; getting down and dirty with moto sports; working on their powerful bikes; or just loving the road on a ride with friends. And there are plenty of other cool moto lifestyle content, including a blog, merch, great biking articles, and a podcast.
This is definitely a social media account that should be on your radar and in your feed. We’ll leave you with the motto of The Litas: “Raise Hell, Babes!”
