Default Hesitant about FP3

I bought the FP3 and downloaded their APP. Emailed Vance and Hines Support to see what I should setup with my Rinehart 4" and they recommended starting with Twin Slash Rounds with Standard baffle.

Then I noticed that they 'Standard Harley Label' reads '103 Twin Cool'. I have a 2015 Ultra CLASSIC (not twin cooled). Starting to think maybe I should take the FP3 back and go with a PV-2.

Anyone with thoughts ? (:::::slapping self ::::: THAT is a stoopid question )

Don't sweat it. V&H is pretty quick to answer questions, and the FP3 is the most idiot-proof gadget I've bought in the last 40 years.

It's worth every nickel.

There isn't that much difference between twin cooled and air cooled for the maps.

You can build from it.

Or, dig their database up and find one that is closer....

Since you've spent the money, spend some time, you'll be fine.

I bought the FP3 when I did my Stage 1. I then decided to drop a Fuel Moto 107" big bore into the motor. The FP3 would not support it. I have had emails from V&H saying they offer support and maps for the larger bore, but their customer service and tech department had nothing to support that claim. If you stick with the simple stage 1, the FP3 will be fine. If you choose to go bigger down the road you might be stuck with a programmer you can only use as a paperweight.
I ponied up and went with the PV2. I love it...and I can map it for anything I choose to do down the road.

I'll agree, pretty much "idiot proof". The initial map is just a starting point and you can auto tune from there.

You'll be more than happy with it I'm sure.

Just got the Rineharts installed, so since it's here, and I wouldn't have to wait I'm going to go ahead and install the FP3. Thanks for your input.

BTW........Those Rineharts are AWESOME !

Ok, this is my first and only experience with tuners. I just finished my first map for my bike. Granted I have all V&H exhaust, I still have the stock air cleaner for now. I started with the exact map for my exhaust (Dresser Duals, Hi-Outputs, Hi flow intake), but not having the hi flow intake, the first tune ran like **** until I applied the first application of auto tune. After roughly 4 hrs of riding in auto tune, I hit finish and I'm more than happy. For my first experience with an efi tuner, I'd suggest the FP3. Don't worry if it doesn't work great at first, just run auto tune until you're happy.

Ok so I ran auto tune today for about 100 miles while out n about. Any idea what the cells learned 32, and TPS: 5.9 mean. I haven't flashed the map as of yet , want to do a few more rides with auto tune enabled.

Thanks
Don
