There has to be a way to easily toggle between the navigation and the radio or media on the Boom radio, however I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Any ideas? Thanks.
I use the voice command "Show Map". It's the only voice command I use, and it works well. It's probably not going to work well if you don't use a headset. If you don't use a headset, the only way I've found to easily get to the navi section is using the button beside the screen.
To get to audio, I use the home button on the left switch pack. If you push it once, it takes you home, push it again, it takes you to audio source (media, if that's what is playing).
yea, that's what the hand controls are for, easy access, you may have to push a button two or three times, but not that big of inconvenience for me anyway.
Pushing in the left toggle switch is the same as pushing the Home button next to the screen although thats sometime hard to do riding down a bumpy road.
I have the appearance set to "classic". Each push of the left home button changes audio source, pushing it in and holding it goes to the home screen and then use right side home button to move over to nav. There's no way that I'm aware of to go directly to nav from media without touching the radio. If you're in Nav and have the appearance set to show music you can go back to the media directly from the map.
I guess that that's kind of the point. I don't want to have to take my eyes off the road any longer than necessary. Working through 3-5 keystrokes is that much more time with my eyes off the road. I'd like to hit a button, glance at the screen, and then eyes back on the road.
I've gotten used to this sequence and it's muscle memory. Fastest and safest way I've found to go from media/radio to Nav without physically touching the screen.
That's actually pretty good info. I didn't know that about the map command. Now is there a way to access the text messages easily without having to go through 3 different screens?
if I am using navigation, I just let that screen stay up. radio / media still plays
Same here, if I'm using navi (or even just cruising) I want that on the screen. If I want to change the station (XM) or go to the next song (USB) just a push of the left joystick forward does that...
