Basically it's a sensor that sits near the sidestand, Jiffystand, Kickstand whatever. No need to put it in gear to activate autohold.
Interesting, it looks like it’s backward compatible with previous years models with RDRS. For $70 I’m game, I do use hill control once in a while, ability to use it in neutral won’t hurt.
Being able to use it in neutral for example stopped in a parking lot that has an incline would be awesome. I dont want to have to mess with the kick stand. I dont think I would trust it for parking without leaving it in gear which is all that is needed. Like mentioned above I dont see the valve in it for me.
Will this be available for the USA model? Will have to look but don't recall an unused connector in that area below the water pump. Seems like a good idea as the current hill hold is not hands free.
