Found the err of my ways😄
When I test fitted the right side only the other night the lower bolt was still in the acorn nut and had come out of forks so holding it up there in what I thought was aligned with the hole it was skewed thus appearing to not fit.
Bolted them up in 10 min. this morning and with angling them down in the slots it clears both signals by 1/8" so all is good.

Guess it's time to test ride and feel the difference.

Yea, they look good. Your right the JES probably wouldn't as look good, they blend in with the lowers on mine and don't stand out too much. 😀

I bought a 14 roadking new off the dealer 2 months ago. Last one they had, my favorite color black. It had a $2000 gift card with it so I bought a few things including the wind deflector fangs. It only took me 10 minutes to install so I guess my lights were already in the front slots. Hmmmmm/

Looks good on there. Another free mod I did was turn the bolts around on the windshield so the chrome acorns are facing out. Looks better I think and matches the other acorns on the sides that point out.

so were you able to still install these without moving your passing lamps to the forward hole? And are you bolting the fangs on the outside of the nacelle? or did you remove the nacelle and put the fangs between the forks and the nacelle?

Hey Ming,

They bolted up just fine the way they should on the outside leaving the lamps in rear position. You can see in the pics they angle down which is the only way they fit so no adjustment left and they clear the signals by 1/8" (actually the right side was more like 1/16".

I still don't care for the look at all but the function is good with minimal updraft.

Thanks Matt,

I went out to play with them this morning. Tried to see if there was a way to mount them between the forks and the nacelle and for anyone that wants to mount them this way (it will NOT work). I bolted them up the same way you did. After loosening both sides what I did find, is if you tighten both sides up slightly, you can straighten out the fork deflectors by "adjusting" the nacelle. This way the fork deflectors don't look "crooked" and are aligned with the forks. (food for thought if anyone wants to mess with theirs). Going to ride to work in a bit, hoping the rave reviews are my experience as well. Not the best looking, not the worst either. Hoping it stops the air rush coming up from under the tank. (damn beard lift) lol
