I was simply trying to explain the sometimes false economy of buying leftover year vehicles if you plan on selling/trading in a couple of years which is what happens with a lot of high mileage touring bikes. If you don't put much mileage and are able to keep a bike 10 years, then the difference in a years resale value doesn't matter.
Noticed today while lookin around the local HD dealer, that the '15 inner fairing has a matte finish instead of the high gloss I have on my Limited. Might have to upgrade mine, really liked the matte.
