I put 14" Yaffe MBB on my '14 street glide special this past weekend. One thing to keep in mind, if you do your own work, you will HAVE to let HD bleed the ABS brake lines.
Did you have to bleed the ABS brake because you took it apart to re-route? Can this be avoided on 12" bars?

You do not have to have HD bleed your brakes...Period...The only time it is necessary is if you cycle the ignition with air in the lines. Bleed the bike completely out like normal before you do that and you won't have an issue. I have done a TON of ABS bikes and never needed a trip to the dealer...
Some change them some don't. I replaced my bars and didn't changes mine and all is fine. I do have a set though that I bought from the dealer just in case. They are for sale. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply. I dont remember seeing these or taking them off. Im putting the bike back together tomorrow so Ill keep an eye out for them haha. So exciteded cant wait.
I had my 10" done at a locate shop, I think they charged me 10 hours. I just bought 12" YAFFE monkey bars because the 10" weren't tall enough and blocked my mirrors. I plan to tackle it myself this weekend, not paying another 1000 for an install. Last year I orignally bought 12s but once I got my bike back I had 10s..... Long / horror story. Lol
With that being said I got a nice set of 10" YAFFE bars for sale..... Anyone????
Whats the best size for short rider I am 5"8? I am thinking about 12in ? Will it block my mirrors. Whats the highest i can go and keep my hands under the fairing?
10 inch will block your mirrors but keep hands under fairing. 12 inch - can use mirrors but hands above fairing . I've had 2 sets of 12 inch and loved them
i just bought a 2012 street glide. it has ABS brakes and the TBW. I'm looking to purchase the 12" black Yaffe monkey bars. I will do the installation myself, can't get myself to pay that kind of money to have them installed.
Do i need to get longer brake and clutch cables? some say yes some on threads above say no. I'm comfortable re-routing cables if need be. Also, what wire extension kits do i need and where to get.
I'm going to get the poly bushings and new billet riser clamp.
