No PTT here either, but the infotainment voice command feature will work with the headset and command prompt on the left grip controls.

On the 15 CVO Street Glide they also have it in the left blank

Same console on 2015 Roadglide Special as my 2014 Streetglide Special

Hello,

I thought on the 2015 CVO Streetglide putting the communication port in left blank of fairing was a BAD choice. I did not like the harness draping over I tank. I had thought of that location in 2013 when the bikes came out. It just look like an after thought. They put the CVO dash on and say to themselves, "oops we forgot comm port, drill a hole. My opinion is to use CVO dash that is on 2014 CVO limited on your Streetglide or Roadglide specials or non specials.

I am curious how you got the plug to stay in place in the console. Looking at the cable from Harley it does not appear to have any threads or other way to fasten? I really like this idea, but am curious. Thanks

It has threads. Once you remove the cap, its apparent. Easy install. Just read up on how to connect to the connector under the fairing. You need to use a tool and properly remove the dummy pin

If you open up the spring loaded cover on the end that you plug the cord into, you'll see a threaded ring that holds the cover on the plug. Remove that threaded ring and the spring loaded cover will come off. Install the plug from the back side of the hole you drilled in the console, replace the cover and then reinstall the threaded ring. Once you get one in your hands and look at it, it will be clear how it works. Piece of cake and WAY better than the stock mounting bracket that comes with the cable! I did mine when I had my tank off for a bar install:

Thanks for the info..it is a bit deceiving in the photo. I really like this idea and am going to install that way. I appreciate your help.
