Is it possibly to leave the framework and all that on the bike and just tilt it forward to remove the inner fairing? I'm swapping mine out this winter for painted when I do my 16" apes.

That is exactly how you do it. If you want you can email me at mikemowbray@ntlworld.com. When I did mine I took some photos and typed up a sheet on how I did it.

That would be great, I'll do that. I had my fairing disconnected and propped up/forward when I was adjusting my apes, so I'm familiar how to get that far, just not sure how the inner fairing actually unbolts from the frame.

The painted fairing actually looks very good along with the chromed front end.

Would love to see write up before I tell dealer to do it when they have it apart for cb install. They say getting speaker boxes off takes the longest

Just ordered mine from the dealer today. 20% off everything and the $350 I had in store credit that I bought from a buddy for $200, cost me like $240. But damn, 4-6 weeks! Glad I ordered it now instead of waiting until February for the painted parts sale.
